We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep.

Why do people seek therapy?

People reach out to psychologists for various reasons. Sometimes it is due to a crisis, or a traumatic experience. Often it is because of struggles with depression or anxiety, difficult relationships, or challenging life transitions. And sometimes, people are looking to do deeper work by finding ways to live more meaningful, fuller, and happier lives.

how do we work?

Our work is both evidence-based and holistic, utilizing a variety of strategies like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Therapy (PSIP), art therapy, mindfulness, and attachment-based therapies.

We have worked with people with a variety of needs and conditions—but we have never worked with you. As psychologists and therapists, we are experts in psychological processes, but you are the expert in the content of your life. Therefore, our work with you will be mutual and interactive, tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.

People have a fundamental need for transformation. We are wired for growth and healing. And we are wired for self-righting and resuming impeded growth. We have a need for the expansion and liberation of the self, the letting down of defensive barriers and the dismantling of the false self. We are shaped by a deep desire to be known, seen, and recognized, as we strive to come into contact with parts of ourselves that are frozen.
