Sarit Lesser, Psy.D
Clinical Psychologist
I am Sarit. My job is to help people build the relationships they want with the people they love. I do this as a clinical psychologist, as an instructor at the Division of Pre-College and Summer Undergraduate Programs at Brown University, and as a mentor. I work with adults; mothers and families in the perinatal period; college students; and people looking for support during turbulent times and transitions, such as parenthood, school, or work.
I utilize a holistic approach that includes somatic, emotional, and cognitive processing and integration of traumatic and developmental experiences for healing trauma and attachment wounds. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the Rhode Island Hospital Partial Hospitalization Program, where I specialized in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a third-generation approach of behavioral and cognitive therapy. Post-graduation, I began focusing on the profoundly intelligent, self-corrective, healing mechanisms that the body holds, by utilizing Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP), a therapeutic modality combining a somatic, autonomic nervous system-based treatment protocol with legal psychedelic plant-based medicines.
All these years treating, teaching, and mentoring taught me that our relationships are the most important things in life and the most crucial factor for happiness. My work is to help you build the relationships you want with the ones you love!

Chris Jackson, MHC-A
Mental Health Counselor–Associate
I help people who feel unaccepted accept themselves and connect better with others. I have more than three years experience as a therapist working with children, adolescents, college students, and adults of all ages. I work with individuals and couples, in both brief and long-term therapy. I am an ally for the LGBTQ+ communities; my family and I attend Providence Pride each year. I have worked with people experiencing anxiety, depression, broken relationships, parenting issues, identity changes, family rejection, trauma past and present, grief, career choices, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy work is person-centered, in which the client and therapist act as allies in the healing journey. My goals with each client are to get to know them, gain their trust, learn where they are, and help them get to where they want to be. Each client is different, so I pull what's needed from different theoretical approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, and existentialism.
I received an MS degree in clinical mental health counseling from Johnson & Wales University. Prior to that, I received an MFA degree in Creative Writing (Poetry) from George Mason University. My style is warm and connecting. When I'm not counseling, I spend time with my family and our dog Puck. I also play drums and am relearning how to ride a skateboard.
