Sarit Lesser, Psy.D

Clinical psychologist

I am Sarit. My job is to help people build the relationships they want with the people they love. I do this as a clinical psychologist, an instructor at the Division of Pre-College and Summer Undergraduate Programs at Brown University, and as a mentor. I work with adults, mothers and families in the perinatal period, college students, and people looking for support during turbulent times and transitions, such as parenthood, school, or work.

I utilize a holistic approach that includes somatic, emotional, and cognitive processing and integration of traumatic and developmental experiences for healing trauma and attachment wounds. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the Rhode Island Hospital Partial Hospitalization Program, where I specialized in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a third generation approach of behavioral and cognitive therapy. Post graduation, I began focusing on the profoundly intelligent, self-corrective, healing mechanisms that the body holds, by utilizing Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP), a therapeutic modality combining a somatic, autonomic nervous system-based treatment protocol with legal psychedelic plant-based medicines.

All these years treating, teaching, and mentoring taught me that our relationships are the most important things in life and the most crucial factor for happiness. My work is to help you build the relationships you want with the ones you love!
